At the beginning of the 2018/2019 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, all teams set out targets and expectations, but very few achieve them at the end of the season.

This is the same case with Express FC who have a target of finishing in top five as the second round commences on Tuesday with them away to Tooro United in Buhinga.

Express’ head coach Kefa Kisala believes that his side will be able to achieve this feat at the end of the season.

“We have a target of finishing in top five in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, and I believe we will be able to achieve it,” Kisala said this, as the club unveiled its new players on Friday morning.

“We had to improve our scoring line that’s why we have signed striker Brian Umony who comes in with a lot of experience and two creative midfielders.”

Apart from Umony, Express have signed Frank “Zaga” Tumwesigye, Sadiq Ssekyembe, Ivan Ocholit and Goffin Geoffrey Oyirwoth and are all expected to have an instant impact on the team that last won a league title on 2012.

“We are a team that loves creating chances, you can’t score goals if you don’t create chances, all our signings will benefit us in those aspects,” Kisala said.

The Red Eagles are currently seventh on the sixteen team log with 21 points from the first round, they have won five, drawn six and lost four, scoring 17 goals and conceding 16 in return.
