Express FC’s sixth signing, pacey winger Godfrey Lwesibawa made his long-awaited return to the club where it all started in 2013.

The former S.C Villa and Tooro United winger signed a two-year deal with the Red Eagles and says the direction the club is taking next season lured him to return to Wankulukuku.

“I am so happy to re-join the club and the ambitions couldn’t be any different,” Lwesibawa told the club’s website

“We all want to win the league a feat we can all achieve if we work as a unit,” he added.

Head coach Wasswa Bossa has always resigned some players he managed at different clubs and Lwesibawa is just one of the few who always follow the coach at every club Bossa joins.

Having spent three seasons with the Red Eagles before leaving for rivals SC Villa in 2016, Lwesibawa now has another opportunity to become a fans favourite by helping guide the club to a seventh league title which the club has chased since 2012.

The pacey winger becomes Wasswa Bossa’s sixth signing of the season joining the likes of Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim both goalkeepers, centre back Richard Bbosa, midfielder Abel Eturude and forward Kiragga Mustafa.
