Proline FC striker Ivan Bogere has his future targets intact after his 14 goals guided the side to automatic qualification to the top flight next season.
The FUFA Big League top scorer who also guided Proline to the finals of the Stanbic Uganda wants to play for the national team in the near future especially if he maintains his form.
“I’m targeting playing for Uganda cranes because it has for long been my dream,” Bogere told www.football-256.com on Saturday before adding.
“Now that I’m going to play in the top flight league, I’m looking forward to tempting Sebastien Desabré for a national team call up I just need to keep my form consistent.”
Scoring fourteen goals was a big relief to Bogere following the criticism from the club fans doubting his scoring capabilities because of his height.
Proline fans thought that Bogere was too short to be the club’s hunter man but at the end of the day he’s the man behind their success.
“I just had to keep my faith and believe in my abilities and never put my head down, I am glad that every time I scored, I was able to put a smile on the faces of my fans,” Bogere added.
Proline defeated Wakiso Giants 1-0 through Bright Anukani to win the Big-League final and they hope the triumph will boost their confidence in the upcoming Stanbic Uganda cup final fixture against Bright Stars FC on May 25th.
