The 2015/2016 FUFA Big League season is still fresh in the memories of Proline, they failed to gain direct promotion to the top flight following a shocking draw at already relegated Kasese New Villa.
They hard to go through the playoffs, something they wouldn’t wish to encounter this season given the fatigue and number of games played in the season.
With the regular season ending this evening, Proline only hope for a win against Kabale Sharp at the Kabale Municipal grounds to attain promotion.
When the two sides met in the first round at the Star Times stadium, Proline took the day following a 3-1 hard fought victory in a game the visitors drew first blood.
Proline will miss the services of Ismail Kabugu, Sam Kintu, Arnold Sserunjogi, Hakim Sekito, Joshua Okiror and Allan Egaku to injuries.
On the positive side though, defence kingpin Ibrahim Ssendi returns after missing the one all draw with Kansai Plascon.
“We are ready to go and I think we need this game more than Kabale. We are not under any pressure since we have been in such a situation before. We what to take the team back to the Premier League,” Sendi told www.football-256.com.
Proline head coach Shafiq Bisaso is optimistic his troops will take the day and believes they have worked for it since day one which can be reflected on the log standings.
“We have been a good team throughout the season and I am sure we shall get the three points we need in Kabale and gain promotion to the top flight which our primary target,” Bisaso told this website.
In form striker, Ibrahim Bonyo is one beaming with confidence ahead of the tie that the visitors are treating like a final.
“As a player am confident and strong that we are going to win and return to the top flight and our fans in Kampala should be behind us.
A win for Proline will ensure they join Wakiso Giants who became the first side to gain promotion last week from the Elgon group.
Prior to this encounter, Proline top the Rwenzori log with 39 points from 19 games while Kabale Sharp are 6th on 28 points from 19 games.
