Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC defender Najib Fesali has shockingly changed his mind about his move to third division side Gaddafi Football Club, with the defender now set to sign for a Uganda Premier League side.
Although not officially unveiled, news making rounds indicate that the towering central defender joined the Jinja based money bags Gadaffi FC on loan from the Tax Collectors.
However, Football256 has reliably learnt that while Fesali could be heading East, he will be joining top division outfit Busoga United instead.
Talking to this website, the former Kyaggwe Ssaza player has given a verdict on his future.
“Busoga United is giving me a chance with them and I’m not playing for a regional club,” he told Football256.
With Gadaffi set to unveil their squad for the 2020/21 season on Friday at the club’s premises in Jinja, it remains to be seen if they will include him in their squad.
Gadaffi still have a date with Admin FC in the Regional League play-offs as they continue their hunt for promotion to the FUFA Big League.
The winner of the encounter will play the winner from the North Eastern Regional League play-offs for a spot in next season’s Big League.
The 20-year-old defender joined URA FC at the start of last season on a three-year contract from the Masaza tournament.
Fesali sat out a huge part of last season through injury and was often overlooked as Sam Ssimbwa favoured Patrick Mbowa, Hood Mulikyi and Benjamin Nyakoojo with the defender finding playing time hard to come by.
