FUFA Women Super League newcomers Rines SS WFC has secured the signature of midfielder, Shadia Nakiwala on a two-year employment contract.
Rines SS WFC joined the womens’ top tier league as runners up after losing to She Maroons FC thanks to Millicent Namwembe solo goal in the Elite League final at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
“I am glad we have secured Nakiwala (Shadia),” Rines SS head coach Bright Nyanzi told Football256 before adding; “We are at a better stage, and we are trying to beef up our team in preparation for the Super League.”
“We lacked depth and experience in the squad, and I am so glad we have got one of the very best offensive midfielders in the country.”
“I am convinced that with her in our squad, more chances will be created, which leads to more goals and confidence with the quality in the offensive positions.”
“I have followed Nakiwala for a very long time, and I am one of his very fans. So I can not wait to work with one of the golden talents in which I believe.”
According to Coach Nyanzi, Nakiwala brings speed, quality, determination as well as leadership in a young and hungry squad ahead of the Super League.
“We are continuing with the preparations, and in a little time, we shall be set to go. I call upon all fans and stakeholders to support us, so we are given a good ambience to showcase our potential,” Nyanzi concluded.
Nakiwala has previously played for St. Noa Girls and later moved to Bugiri Town View SS, where she has finally switched to Rines SS.
