KCCA FC forward Allan Okello will be the main act for Lango Province when they face the West Nile Province in the FUFA Drum two-legged final which gets underway on Saturday in Arua.
The creative gem has been pivotal for the Lira based side from when he made his loan switch from parent club Paradou FC in Algeria back to KCCA FC.
Okello says there is no better way to reward the fans for the support all through: “I believe we have prepared well ahead of the first leg on Saturday away,” Okello told Football256.
“For me this would be a fantastic opportunity to make all ‘Langis’ proud about winning such a competition.”
“So we are going into the game to give everything and also get an away goal advantage,” Okello added.
Okello is the joint goal scorer of the competition alongside West Nile’s Ibrahim Dada with four goals apiece but he stresses that his main focus is to work as a team to win the two legged final.
“It’s good that I have managed to score four goals so far but for me it doesn’t matter whether I am the top scorer or not, what matters is that we have to give everything to make Lango province proud,” he added.
The FUFA Drum is in its third edition with Lango province reaching their maiden final, meanwhile, West Nile are making their second after they lost in the inaugural edition in 2018 to Buganda Province. The other edition was won by Acholi in 2019.
