The ongoing brawl between former SC Villa president Ben Misagga and FUFA is about to take a new twist.
The former has been summoned by the FUFA Ethics Committee for a hearing on June 6th, 2019 at FUFA House in Mengo for alleged match fixing while still at the helm of SC Villa.
“The investigation report avers that whilst acting as SC Villa official you Ben Misagga attempted to influence a match official so as to obtain improper advantage for SC Villa during a match involving SC villa which was played in Jinja,” read part of the letter dated May 28th, 2019 before continuing.
“Contrary to the FUFA Ethics Codes. You are charged with Violation of; Article 28 of the FUFA Ethics Code on manipulation of football matches or competitions.”

The letter doesn’t reveal which season the said offence was committed or against which team in Jinja.
In the past, Jinja has been home to BUL FC and Kirinya Jinja SSS, the region has also had JMC Hippos and Plascon during Misagga’s reign as SC Villa president.
Misagga couldn’t be reached for comment on the subject as he didn’t pick our phonecalls.
