For the fourth straight year, the FUFA Super Cup will belong to KCCA FC after they defeated Proline 4-1 at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo on Wednesday afternoon.
Errsa Sekisambu capitalized on a blunder on Proline goalkeeper Hassan Matovu to give the league champions the lead after just seven minutes.
In the 14th minute, Allan Okello with his trademark dribble from the right before cutting inside made it 2-0 with a curler in the league curtain raiser.
In the 71st minute, Sekisambu again found himself with Matovu to beat after Proline failed to hold onto possession, the former SC Villa, URA and Vipers forward completed his brace.
It was Proline’s first game at home under new head coach Matia Lule who guided them to the next round of the 2019/2020 Total CAF Confederation Cup after their barren draw with Master Security in Lilongwe. They advanced 3-0 on aggregate.
On the other hand, the league holders were recovering from a 2-0 loss to Vipers SC in the final of the Pilsner Super 8 at the Betway Mutesa II Stadium three days ago.
