Aisha Namukisa’s lone strike was enough for Kampala queens to knock Isra Soccer Academy out of the Fufa Women Cup at the round of 32 stage in a match played at Kawempe on Saturday evening.
The all-important goal for Faridah Bulega coached side came in the 24th minute of the game through a direct freekick from the middle of the park.
Bulega praised her players for applying the game plan which helped them win the game that was very close.
“We planned better than them and the players played according to the plan that’s why we managed to keep that 1-0 lead from the 24th minutes to the end of the game,” Bulega told www.football-256.com before adding.
“Am happy that we will be playing in the next round of the Fufa Women Cup, every game comes with a different strategy and will be waiting for the draws to see who we will be playing.”

Isra tried to do some amends but their efforts were frustrated by the center referee Shamira Nabukenya who denied them possible penalties on two occasions which Isra coach Isma Nkugwa believes those decisions would have changed the game.
“We had a good game and we could have won it, though the referee couldn’t give us two open penalties but that is football.”
“I thank my players for the efforts though we couldn’t go past this round and our focus now will be on the league where we know that every game counts,” he added.
This marks the first time Kampala Queens go past the first round of the Fufa Women Cup in their history.
