Olila high school women FC vs Kawempe Muslim
This will be a recap of last season’s Fufa Women Elite League finals were Kawempe came out as winners with a lone strike from Tracy Akiror Jones at lugogo.
This is Kawempe’s third time to play at this round of the three editions and head coach Ayub Khalifah will be eyeing a double for the first time in women football history.
“It is a fantastic situation to find ourselves in, and we would love to do it, we going to make sure we reach the next round,” Khalifan told www.football-256.com.
With Kawempe sealing a playoffs slot already in the Fufa Women Elite League, winning it remains Khalifah’s top priority.
Key to Kawempe’s hopes of progress in the Women Cup could be Juliet Nalukenge who has scored ten goals in the last eleven games in all competitions.
Olila are flying high under coach Sadam Mpande, second on the table of Elizabeth Group behind leaders UCU lady Cardinals.
Olila Skipper Marion Amangat is confident because they “have a good record in the Fufa Women Cup than Kawempe Muslim.”

Kampala Queens vs Lady Doves

It will not be of a surprise if Kampala Queens don’t go past this round as her team will be playing in the round of 16 for the first time since the first edition in 2017.
This will be the first meeting for both clubs in all competitions but all eyes will be on the coaches Faridah Bulega (Kampala Queens) and Oliver Mbekeka (Lady Doves).
The duo played for the national team in the 90s and are currently the coaches on the Crested Cranes team, Bulega as head coach and Mbekeka as the fitness coach respectively.
With Kampala Queens not so sure of a playoff slot in the League, advancing to the semifinals is actually not a priority for Bulega but making the playoffs of the league.
“To me reaching this stage in the Women Cup is already an achievement, so whether we go through or not my priority is to see the club back to playoffs in the league,” Bulega told this website.
Kampala Queens eliminated Isra as Lady Doves eliminated Wakiso Hills 1-0 and 7-0 respectively.
