Kawempe Muslim LFC and Uganda Martyrs WFC manoeuvred through group one to book semi-final spots at the FUFA Women Super League tournament at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
Spencer Nakacwa opened the scoring for Uganda Martyrs Lubaga in the 23rd minute before Resty Kobusobozi levelled matters through a beautiful
effort.
Anitah Namata scored in the 45th minute to restore Uganda Martyrs Lubaga’s lead to book a place in the semi-finals with nine points and a positive goal difference of two.
Kawempe Muslim managed to join Uganda Martyrs Lubaga to the next stage as table leaders with nine points and a difference of six goals from four games.
On the other hand, Kampala Queens bagged all three points past Makerere University WFC in a 2-1 victory at Kakindu Stadium, Jinja but fell short of the last four on goal difference.
Kampala Queens finished third while Tooro Queens finished a place above the bottom side Makerere University WFC that lost all their group games.
Allen Nassaazi and Fauzia Najjemba tie at three goals as top scorers of the ongoing tournament.
The second group kicks off with action on Monday, April 26, 2021. It comprises Isra Soccer Academy, UCU Lady Cardinals, Olira High School, Lady Doves, and She Cooperates.
