Gaddafi Modern FC have played two games in the 2022-23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign but have only managed to scoop a point from the possible six.
The Soldier Boys started the season on a low, losing 2-0 to a depleted SC Villa side, before playing out a goalless draw against Onduparaka later.
However, their head coach Wasswa Bbosa is confident that his charges can still emphatically achieve the season-set target amidst a poor start.
“I am still confident that we shall achieve the season-set target,” Bbosa said shortly after the stalemate against Onduparaka on Wednesday.
It remains unknown what the season-set target is. However, Gaddafi does looks blunt side despite promising huge in the summer.
“We shall keep correcting our mistakes to see that we score. The problem we have faced is that we have several injuries in the squad. More so when it those in attacking positions,” he added.
“You can see it from the players that started the game, most of them were defenders and midfielders. What am sure of is that football is a game of organization.”
“The league is a marathon, we have only played two games among the many,” the disappointed tactician noted.
In their next game, Gaddafi will pay a visit to Bbosa’s former paymasters, Express at Wankulukuku on Tuesday, October 18.
With just a point and no goal in two games, they sit 14th on the 15-team SUPL log.
