‘I always wanted to be part of Express’ history’ – Walusimbi

Defender Enock Walusimbi has revealed the reason as to why he decided to join Express FC.

The versatile defender was announced as an Express FC player on Thursday, joining from Soltilo Bright Stars FC and he signed a two-year deal with the Red Eagles.

According to him, Express’ history in Ugandan football is what tempted him to join the Wankulukuku based side.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to become an Express FC player,” Walusimbi was quoted by the club’s official website.

“This club has a lot of history so much so that I have always wanted to be part of it,” he added.

Walusimbi’s arrival is expected to strengthen Express’ defence that conceded over 35 goals last season as the club finished ninth on the log with 31 points.

He previously featured for regional sides Nansana FC and Luweero United before joining Soltilo Bright Stars where he played for three seasons.

He also becomes the 14th signing for Express in this transfer window joining Denis Otim, Cryspus Kusiima, Richard Bbosa, Isaac Nsengiyunva and Abel Eturude.

Others include Godfrey Lwesibawa, Dennis Mugerwa, Ibrahim Kayiwa, Mahad Kakooza, Baker Sakah, Faisal Ssekyanzi, Charles Musiige and Kiragga Mustafa.
