Midfielder John Byamukama has set his sights to helping Express FC secure silverware starting next season after sealing a move to the Wankulukuku based club.
Byamukama was officially unveiled as a Red Eagle on Tuesday afternoon, joining from Tooro United and he signed a two-year deal with Express FC.
“We all know Express FC is a historical club. I have joined the club to win titles,” Byamukama told the club’s website.
“As a defensive midfielder, my role is to protect the back four, a role which I will gladly do when given the opportunity,” he added.
Byamukama joined Tooro United at the beginning of the 2018/19 season and he managed two assists and one goal in 15 games he played in that season.
Last season later he scored two goals and provided four assists in 18 games played.
Before joining Tooro United, Byamukama also featured for Bundibugyo based outfit Bumate United and Friends of Soccer Academy in Fort Portal.
The defensive midfielder becomes Express’ 11th signing in this transfer window joining Cryspus Kusiima, Denis Otim, Richard Bbosa and Mahad Yaya Kakooza.
Others include Godfrey Lwesibawa, Abel Eturude, Ivan Nsengiyunva, Baker Sakah, Charles Musiige and Kiragga Mustafa.
