The last time KCCA FC and Paidha Black Angels met was in the final of the 2016 Stanbic Uganda Cup in Arua, then the former triumphed 2-0 as they lifted their ninth Cup title. The win also completed the first domestic double in the club’s history.
The two sides will meet for the first time in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo
KCCA occupy the summit of the 16 team log with 24 points in 12 games while Paidha sit at the bottom of it with four points in 11 outings and have lost their last seven outings.
They have kept a clean sheet once in 11 outings, the barren draw with Tooro United at home, the only place they have picked maximum points when they defeated Police 2-1, in their first home tie.
Paidha take on a KCCA FC side that is fresh from dismantling Mtibwa Sugar 3-0 in the first leg of the 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederations Cup on Saturday at Lugogo.
Before the win, KCCA FC were recovering from a 3-2 loss To Express at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in their last outing.
Before that, the Mike Mutebi coached side were coming off a four game winning streak which also included 6-1 drubbing of Nyamityobora FC
Paidha are vulnerable coming into this tie, having scored the least number of goals, just five and have conceded 20, only Nyamityobora have conceded more, 21
Only two of those five have been scored away from home and only surprisingly out of the 20 conceded goals, only four have been conceded away from home.
