Former KCCA midfielder Ivan Ntege reveals lack of understanding between him and Coach Mike Mutebi made him quit the Ugandan football giants.
The midfielder who now plies his trade in Botswana left The Kasasiro Boys in 2017 to Join Township Rollers despite interest his then club showed in retaining him.
Ntege’s success story is explained by the four league trophies and Uganda Cup he won with KCCA during the eight seasons with the 12 time league winners.
“I really enjoyed my time at KCCA and the supporters always cheered me when I did my warm up or when I entered pitch,” Ntege told his club website.
“Management offered me a new contract but I was not on good terms with the coach at that time so I decided to move on when the Rollers offer came in,” he added.
Ntege would pass for a versatile player after being played in both midfield and right back by the coaches at Township Rollers.

During his time at Rollers, the Cranes international has played against KCCA FC twice that was in the 2018 Total CAF Champions League, winning the tie in Botswana 1-0 and losing the return leg in Kampala by similar margin.
Fancied so much by Township Rollers fans and considered a midfield gem, Ntege in his twenties hopes to one day play in Premier Soccer League in South African before a move to the European paid ranks.
