Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal Magoola is ready to sit down with his Sudan based side Al-Hilal with an objective of terminating his contract.
Jamal who joined Al-Hilal from another Sudanese side El-Merreikh in 2018 has already filed a case against his club with FIFA Player Status Committee over unpaid arrears.
Through his representatives in Alfonso Leon, Juan de Dios, Gytis Rackauskas and Crespo Perez, he wrote to Erika Montemor Ferreire who is the head of the player status.
“Statement of claim against the Sudan football club Al-Hilal Sports Club before FIFA dispute Resolution chamber with regards to the present international employment related contractual dispute between the claimant and the respondent,” part of the statement read.
“In connection with the unilateral premature termination of the employment contract with just cause for outstanding salaries pursuant to the provision of the article 14b is of the FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players.”
Despite the stand-off over his unpaid arrears, the former KCCA FC custodian has returned to the club and is currently among the players undergoing pre-season training ahead of the league return.
