Kampala Queens, Bulega targeting FUFA Women’s Cup final

Kampala Queens head coach Faridah Bulega is optimistic that her side will be able to progress to the quarter finals and go on up to the finals of the FUFA Women’s Cup.

Kampala Queens was drawn against Masindi based side Lady Doves in the round of 16 draws conducted on Wednesday morning at FUFA house Mengo.

Kampala Queens will host the Lady Doves at the Old Kampala Primary School grounds.

“We are prepared and ready for them, we have whatever it takes to knock Lady Doves out of this tournament,” Bulega told www.football256.com before adding.

“Lady Doves is an easier side compared to Isra Soccer Academy that we knocked out in the previous round, but it will a good game since both teams are in the same calibre though I am sure we will end up as victors.”

“Our main target is reaching two finals this season, FUFA Elite Women League and FUFA Women’s Cup should the players maintain their current form,” she added.

Kampala Queens knocked out Isra Soccer Academy 1-0 at the round of 32 to reach this round while Lady Doves walloped Wakiso Hills 7-0.

The games will be played from 16th to 17th March, 2019, the winners of each tie will progress to quarter finals of the tournament.
