As though her career is only getting started, living legend Hasifa Nassuna is looking at winning huge at Kampala Queens.
This is so, despite all the successes she’s achieved at Kawempe Muslim and UCU Lady Cardinals.
“I want to perform better than I did at UCU and Kawempe,” Nassuna told Football256 on Sunday, after watching her new side beat She Corporate 2-1 in the FUFA Women Super League (FWSL), at the MUBS Arena.
“I want to win the league and also play in the CECAFA Club Championship,” she added.
Winning the FWSL qualifies a team to play at the CECAFA Women CAF Champions League Regional Qualifiers, where the winner qualifies for the CAF Champions League.
She has already won the League four times, three with Kawempe Muslim, and one with UCU, but, at the latter, she also won the 2018 FUFA Women Cup.
One of the reasons she gives for her decision to move to different clubs is her desire to keep winning.
“As a person, I don’t feel comfortable in a team if they are not winning, it makes more sense to keep on winning.”
As she continues to chase more milestones, Nassuna has put behind probably the biggest milestone in her career when she became the first woman to score 100 goals in the history of the FUFA Women Super League.
“It was nice and exciting, but it is an achievement in the past, I want to score goals like I have never scored before,” she noted.
It is still early days to determine how much she will win at Kampala Queens, but, the 2016 FUFA Women Footballer of the year is not about to stop.
