Kaziba thrilled by the positive attitude in the training sessions

SC Villa Head Coach Edward Kaziba is happy and moved by the positive response portrayed by the Jogoo during training sessions and suggests that it is something that may spark a successful season for the club.

Ahead of the long trip to Jinja where they visit Busoga United at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, Kaziba will hope to earn his maiden away win of the season after ironing out a number of defensive errors.

“I am very happy with the positive response that has been staged by the boys during our training sessions that are coming in compacted phases,” Kaziba told Football256.

“We have not had a lot of time to prepare, we just played a physical game on Saturday and had to recover on Sunday and now we are going to make a long trip to Njeru,” he added.

SC Villa has conceded 10 goals in the eight matches they have played so far which is a negative report for their defence. However, the tactician has noted it is one of the factors they have greatly looked at.

“We have tried to iron out a number of mistakes captured in our previous games and mainly improved our backline that has conceded easy goals which I believed can be avoided,” he said.

“We want to go and win the game because we have not yet picked an away win this season which has kept haunting us but I believe the cry ends tomorrow (Tuesday),” the tactician noted.

On the other hand, Busoga assistant head coach Fred Lumu noted that while his side were unlucky to leave with only a point against Mbarara City on Friday, he remains pleased with their performance and hopes it can spark a run of positive results for the club.

“The game against Mbarara is our best-played match this season because we dominated the game from the word go but unluckily we failed to convert any of the chances from the many that were created that day,” Lumu noted.

“We have empowered our forwards to be more clinical to find the back of the net. So I can tell our fans that in the game against Villa they should be sure of seeing goals,” he concluded.

Busoga United currently languish in 14th place, three points off safety and are yet to register a victory this season. Villa on the other hand lie in the sixth position with 14 points.
