KCCA FC have confirmed that midfielder Nicolas Kasozi has departed the club after two years with the Kasasiro Boys.
According to a statement from the club, they have agreed terms with Kyetume FC for the transfer of the midfielder for an undisclosed fee.
“KCCA FC and Kyetume FC have agreed on terms for the transfer of midfielder Nicholas Kasozi,” the club said.
Kasozi still had a year to go on his three-year contract at Lugogo but has recently fallen out of favour with head coach Mike Mutebi.
A constant feature in their 2019 league triumph, Kasozi lost his place to Gift Ali last season and was limited to only 12 appearances starting just five games, scoring only one goal.
Kasozi and Kyetume have already agreed to personal terms and the player is expected to be unveiled by the club soon.
KCCA acting CEO Micheal Kirunga has said the club is grateful for the services of the midfielder and wish Kasozi the best at his next club.
“As a club, we are thankful for the services of Kasozi during the two years he has spent at KCCA FC. We wish him the best at his new club and in the future,” Kirunga told the club’s website.
The holding midfielder joined KCCA from rivals SC Villa in August 2018 and has helped the club win the Uganda Premier League, CECAFA Clubs Cup and two Super Cups.
