KCCA FC touched base in Tanzania on Thursday morning ahead of their 2018/2018 Total CAF Confederation Cup return leg fixture against Mtibwa Sugar without striker Patrick Kaddu.
Kaddu picked up a knock in their last StarTimes Uganda Premier League 3-0 triumph over Paidha Black Angels in which he scored a first half hatrick.
Kaddu was also on the score sheet as KCCA FC defeated their Saturday opponents 3-0 at Lugogo in the first leg, the other goals were scored by Allan Okello and Allan Kyambadde.
In the absence of Kaddu, the Kasasiro Boys’ manager Mike Mutebi still travelled with familiar faces who can feel the void, these include Mike Mutyaba, Allan Okello and Allan Kyambadde as his alternatives at the striking line.
“We are not going there to sit behind the ball, we are going to attack them because that’s our philosophy as a team,” Mutebi told Football 256 before departure.
“We have an advantage because we carry a 3-0 lead into the return leg, but that doesn’t mean we are not coming to compete, and try to win the game,” he added.
