Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC becomes the latest club to join the race to sign Uganda Cranes dependable defender Murushid Juuko, Football256 has learnt.
A source that preferred anonymity close to the player disclosed to this writer Juuko’s likely next move ahead of next season.
“There are a number of offers available for Juuko both local and outside the country and the latest approach is from KCCA FC which we can’t take lightly because they are a big team with lots of ambitions, organised and professional.”
“However, we shall have to sit down and weigh options to come up with a better decision for him,” disclosed the source.
It should be recalled that KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi has on different occasions since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic confessed how the departure of Timothy Awany somehow cost them due to his leadership and experience.
And the situation was not helped with the knee injury suffered by John Revita who was purchased as Awany’s direct replacement. Revita can only be ready for action in the second round of next season.
The Lugogo based side are also chasing the signature of Vipers assistant captain Geoffrey Wasswa but this website understand that he will renew his stay at Kitende.
Ethiopian giants St George FC, Vipers SC and PSL side Bloemfontein Celtic are the other clubs that have already expressed interest in the former Bunamwaya FC (current Vipers SC) defender.
Juuko at the moment is a free agent after his marriage with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca failed to work out after both parties decided to mutually terminate the biding contract.
