KCCA FC will be in continental action on December 15th, 2018 when they host Mtibwa Sugar in the first leg of the 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederations Cup first round at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

But this Saturday they host Ndejje Lions in their 10th outing of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League before visiting Express on December 11th at the Betway Mutessa II Stadium.

Speaking at the prematch press confederation at Lugogo, KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi confessed about using the Ndejje game as preparations for the Mtibwa Sugar tie.

“We want to use the Ndejje game as a precursor for the Mtibwa Sugar tie, because it a big tie and a must win for us,” Mutebi said on Friday morning before adding.

“It is a big game against Mtibwa Sugar FC because at the moment, there is no small team in such competitions. This game (against Ndejje) will give KCCA a clear picture ahead of the game because our focus is to perform well at the continent.”

At the same press conference, the Kasasiro Boys’ manager Mike Mutebi said that KCCA takes every game seriously and therefore there will be no tolerance against Ndejje University.

“We take every game seriously. It is a precursor, we want to go and play well so that it gives players more morale and belief.”

He further said that they are looking forward at scoring many goals against Ndejje as the only way of showing the Tanzanian side that KCCA is a big team, and that if players concentrate well in the final third, goals will come.

When talking about the state of his club, the once Uganda Cranes manager said that he has a fully fit squad with Muzamir Mutyaba, Gift Ali and Saddam Juma recovered from injuries.
