Bright Stars, KCCA FC and Onduparaka all registered important wins in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League ties played on Saturday at the Greenlight Stadium, Prisons Grounds in Luzira and Betway Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku respectively.
It’s Brights probably who were the greatest beneficiaries with a commanding 3-0 win over Paidha Black Angels.
Paidha Black Angels custodian John Kalumba turned the ball into his own net after just 13 minutes in a tie his counterpart Hamza Muwonge did everything to keep the hosts at bay with good organization of of his defense and timely saves.
Brian Mayanja grabbed his fourth of the season with a minute to full time before Kokas Opejo made it three in added time as Muwonge was voted the Pilsner Man Of the Match
It was Bright Stars fifth win of the season in nine outings taking them to 18 points, they have scored the most goals sofar (17), same as log leaders KCCA FC and conceded just 7.
At Wankulukuku Express still can’t find the keys to Onduparaka’s resilience as the Arua side scored two past the Red Eagles without response.
Vianne Ssekajugo and Gaddafi Gadinho were on the score sheet for Simeone Masaba’s side. It was their second straight win since the departure of Asaph Mwebaze.
Gadinho was voted the Pilnser Man of the Match, which is his second after scooping the same as his team defeated Ndejje Lions 3-0 in Arua.

Onduparaka are fourth with 17 points after also picking their fifth win of the season, 12 goals scored and only four conceded, only URA have conceded less (1).
