KCCA FC will be hoping to win on the road for the first time this season when they visit UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Barracks Grounds on Wednesday.

The Kasasiro Boys have played two games away from home in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this campaign and have lost on both occasions.

KCCA were beaten 3-1 and 1-0 by Arua Hill SC and Maroons FC respectively, but head coach Morley Byekwaso is optimistic they will pick up maximum points against the Army side.

“This season we are focusing on improving in a host of aspects especially when it comes to winning and playing good football which is difficult at times when playing away from home,” Byekwaso said.

“We can always pick results away from home but the brand of football we play also matters but this is also interrupted by the nature of the pitches where we play from.”

“Against Maroons, we tried to play well but we were affected in one way or another and in the end, we lost the game.”

“We shall go again on Wednesday, play well, and also ensure that we win the game,” he added.

Byekwaso’s charges have played five games this season and much as they have lost all their two away games played so far, they have won all three games played at home so far.

The 13-time SUPL champions defeated, Wakiso Giants FC, Vipers SC, and Blacks Power 3-2, 1-0, and 4-1 respectively.

KCCA are fifth on the 15-team SUPL log with nine points while UPDF find themselves in 11th place with five points.

As KCCA lost defeated Blacks Power 4-1 at Lugogo the last time out, UPDF lost 3-0 to Arua Hill at Barifa.

When the two sides met last season, KCCA beat UPDF 2-1 and 3-0 in the first and second leg respectively.

Meanwhile, Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Ibrahim Magandanzi are some of the players to watch in Brian Ssenyondo’s coached side.
