KCCA FC and URA FC have the highest number of representatives in the Uganda Cranes squad that head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic summoned for Tony Mawejje’s two testimonials.

The Kasasiro Boys and the Tax Collectors have four players apiece – the most of any other team.

Although Vipers SC also has four players in the 35-man squad, they will not play in Mawejje’s testimonial games but rather in the tri-nation tournament in Libya.

The squad which is mainly made of the U-23 players will travel to Libya on Sunday for a tri-nation tournament in Benghazi.

Micho’s charges will play against hosts Libya and Tanzania on the 21st and 24th of September respectively as they prepare for the U-23 AFCON qualifier against Guinea in October.

“The six foreign-based players and four players from Vipers SC will not be available for the testimonial matches but instead will join us on Sunday as we travel to Libya,” Micho noted.

Hassan Jurua, Faisal Wabyoona, Saidi Mayanja, and Rogers Mato are the players from KCCA while URA has James Begisa, Derrick Ndahiro, Simon Baligeya, and Abdallah Salim.

Mawejje’s testimonial games will take place on Wednesday, September 14, and Friday 16 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, and Masaka Recreation Grounds respectively.

The 35-year-old’s All-Star team, mostly Cranes players that played at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017 will play against the current Cranes team – Micho has gone for the U-23 side.

Tickets go for 20,000/= ordinary and 50,000/= VIP at Lugogo whereas in Masaka it will be a general ticket at 10,000/=.
