KCCA FC defender cum midfielder Dennis Iguma was shown a straight red card during his side’s 1-0 win over UPDF FC last week for violent conduct after he head-butted Ibrahim Magandazi.
Iguma was meant to miss two physical games through suspension, but this punishment has been increased by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel.
“Dennis Iguma breached Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions Rules and the CDP hereby; Suspends Dennis Iguma in addition to the automatic suspension by the match official; for one extra FUFA competition match,” a FUFA statement.
“The player shall miss a total of the next three physically played games after match No.45 UPDF FC Vs KCCA FC in which he head-butted the opponent.”
“A Cash fine of UGX 500,000 (Uganda Shillings Five Hundred Thousand) to be paid into the FUFA Account and bring proof of payment of the same to the committee.”
“The above fine is to be paid by the completion of his entire suspension and failure to pay shall lead to automatic suspension until the fine is paid in full.”
“Should he fail to heed the sanctions, the CDP shall be constrained to take stronger disciplinary measures against all parties involved,” the statement concluded.
Iguma was due to miss KCCA’s home game against URA FC on Saturday and the visit to SC Villa but will now also miss the game against Gaddafi Modern FC.
