Kenyan Premier League side, Kariobangi Sharks has completed the signing of Kenya U20 striker, Patrick Otieno from Bungoma based KPL side, Nzoia Sugar.
The 19-year old forward has been on the radar of several KPL clubs; Gor Mahia, Bandari, KCB Mathare United and moneybags Wazito FC were all interested in his services.
Sharks have however managed to pit their rivals to the attackers signature and has appended his signature to a long-term deal.
“Patrick has left for Kariobangi Sharks. They offered him a good deal and he decided to move there,” a source from Nzoia camp revealed on condition of anonymity.
“He is a good young player and we hope that they take good care of him. He has the potential to become one of the best in the country,” the source added.
Otieno becomes the second player to ditch Nzoia this window after winger Steven Etyang who has left for Kakamega Homeboyz. Striker Hansel Ochieng is also rumored to be heading to AFC Leopards.
