Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne has maintained that his side can still progress to the knockout phase in the 2019 Total African Cup of Nations despite being pooled against some of the best teams in the continent.
Kenya was pooled against Senegal, Algeria and Tanzania in group C and face a daunting task of overcoming the first two teams who are ranked way above the Stars.
The Frenchman is well aware of the huge task his team will face in Egypt but insists his team should keep the dream alive.
“Our goal is to progress to the knockout round,” Migne told www.football-256.com before adding.
“It will be difficult considering we will be facing some tough teams in Senegal and Algeria, the game against Tanzania won’t be easy as well because we saw them beat Uganda 3-0 recently.”

“I believe anything is possible, we will continue to dream. No one thought we would qualify for the competition but we did and so it’s a matter of believing in ourselves and doing our best,” he added.
Kenya will open its campaign against Algeria before taking on neighbors Tanzania in the second match. Stars will then square it out with Senegal in the final group match.
The Stars will hit camp in late May to begin preparations for the tournament. The team will camp in France for three weeks before jetting to Egypt for the tournament.
