Express FC Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka, (also known as KK) has repudiated the allegations that the Wankulukuku based have axed its head coach Kefa Kisala.
Reports had on Monday evening indicated that the Express hierachy had fired Kisala and his entire backroom staff.
This was after their 2-0 loss to Police in the StarTimes Uganda Premier tie played at the Betway Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
“This is not true!! When we make a decision we officially communicate it. Kefa Kisaala is still the head coach @ExpressFCUganda,” Kiwanuka replied on a tweet.
Kefa Kisala also denied anything sacking claiming that he is still the head coach of
“I am still Express’ head coach, I haven’t heard of that from any of my bosses,” he told www.football-256.com in a telephone interview.
The loss against Police FC was the club’s sixth, they have managed only five wins and six draws and dropped to 10th on the 16-team log with 21 points after 17 outings.
Kefa has been highly criticized by the club fans who have demanded for his resignation because of the poor return of results.
Express’ February fixture includes back to back away trips to BUL and Nyamityobora, then host Maroons on Matchday 20 before visiting Ndejje Lions.
