Kampala Capital City Authority FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi is known to be an astute disciplinarian and strict man.
He barely sets a foot wrong, and therefore is not one to accept excuses or procrastination amongst his players.
To him any mistake or failure to execute an obligation is punishable, and often times goes by the notion ‘lack of planning on your side does not constitute an emergency on me’.
Given that background, Mutebi was caught on the wrong side of the law, as his team prepared for their trip to Mbarara for their StarTimes Uganda Premier League crucial encounter against Mbarara City.
As the team departed Kampala en route Mbarara, the tactician had to be left behind after he arrived late for the scheduled departure time which was 6am.
A source revealed that Mutebi arrived at Lugogo hours after the team had departed, and despite requests from the administrators for the coach to use public means to travel for the game, the gaffer refused to adhere to them.
Being a strict disciplinarian, he had to inflict a worthy punishment to himself and set the precedent at least for other members of his team.
Mutebi had to watch from over 200 kilometers away as his team set out to re-write history by picking up their first victory over the Ankole Lions but lost the time 2-1.
Mutebi wasn’t the only culprit, one if his assistants Badru Kaddu and striker John Odemwegu had to use use Boda bodas to catch up with the bus
