Cameroon’s ‘runaway’ defender Joel Djob Matip has tied the knot with his English lover Larissa Stollenwek.
The pair uploaded photos of themselves at the event on Wednesday, barely a week after the defender was crowned English Premier League Champion with Liverpool.
The German-born Cameroonian heart-throb therefore quits bachelor status and crowns his three-year-old relationship with the ultimate result.
Matip’s wife Larissa is not a public figure though she has been spotted on multiple occasions with the Liverpool sweeper.
The defender has won 27 caps with Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions but hasn’t played for his country for six years pointing inadequacies in management of football in the Central African nation.
Mapit last featured for Cameroon at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and scored Cameroon’s only goal at the tournament.
