Amidst rumors of an alleged exit out of Kitende, Vipers SC captain Halid Lwaliwa has been named in the traveling team to Tanzania ahead of a friendly with Young Africans SC.

Reports steamed on Wednesday that the long-serving skipper was headed out with an alleged move to South Africa on the cards.

Others reported that a replacement in Murushid Juuko had agreed to sign with the Venoms. But, the fact that Lwaliwa is part of the traveling contingent may certainly put a pose to the rumors.

Meanwhile, new signing Abdu Lumala has missed the journey to Dar es Salaam, as he continues to recover from a strained hamstring.

The Club has also confirmed Frank Tumwesigye ‘Zaga’ and Paul Mucureezi will not travel due to respective injuries.

The 21-man team will head out to Tanzania in the afternoon on Thursday and touch base at Julius Nyerere International Airport, later in the evening.

Despite it being friendly, both sides will use it as a perfect opportunity to up their preparations ahead of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
