Taddeo Lwanga was voted Vipers Sports Club Supporters’ player of the 2018/2019 season after his systematic performances throughout the season.
The midfield dynamo beat fellow midfielder cum defender Geoffrey Wasswa and striker Daniel Muzeyi Sserunkuuma to the award, after he accumulated 79 votes, while Wasswa and Sserunkuuma gathered 69 votes each.
Through his Twitter handle, the club skipper acknowledged the fans for their support over the course of the campaign.

“Thank you fans for the passion, energy, and belief. You were there every step of the way and your support means everything.”
“It wouldn’t have been possible without all of your support from the minute I got here and throughout the season, I’m honored,” he added.
Unfortunately, Lwanga’s form wasn’t able to guide the Kitende based club to league glory as they finished the StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign as runners-up with 59 points, seven behind eventual champions Kampala Capital City Authority FC.
In the Stanbic Uganda Cup, they were knocked out by FUFA Big League minnows Proline FC at the quarterfinal stage.

Vipers’ second-place finish rules them out of participation in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup next season.
KCCA will represent Uganda in CAF Champions League while either Bright Stars or Proline will play in the Caf Confederations Cup after the duo reached the Stanbic Uganda Cup final.
In the other major award by the fans, Livingstone Mulondo claimed the supporters’ Signing of the Season, beating Innocent Wafula and Abraham Ndugwa to the gong. Ndugwa’s amazing scorpion kick goal against SC Villa won the goal of the season award.
