Maroons FC put up a season best performance beating Paidha Black Angles 3-0 in Luzira in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League tie played at the Prisons Grounds in Luzira.
Rashid Agau, Pius Obuya and substitute Brondon Nsubuga scored to ensure the 3-0 win against Paidha whose life in the top flight is suspect.
The first period was cagey with both sides cancelling out each other although the hosts possessed more threat but failing to convert.
Four minutes into the second half, the visitors were caught on a break with Agau on the receiving end making no mistake and tapped home to give Maroons the lead.
The pressure intensified and Paidha couldn’t contain it, Bronson Nsubuga who had just come on beat the visitors defence on the left and was denied a goal scoring opportunity in the forbidden area.

That left referee Alex Muhabi with no option but to point to the spot in the 75th minute.
Obuya stepped up and converted, Nsubuga would later put the icing on the cake dazzling the entire Paidha defence before a sweet left curved shot into the net in the 85th minute sent the whole Luzira stadium into raptures.
The win takes Maroons to 13th on 22 points after picking their fifth win of the season while Paidha stay rock bottom on 12 points.
Elsewhere in Bombo, Mubarak Nsubuga was the difference as Express picked up a second away win under George Ssemwogerere.
Nsubuga who was making a return from injury scored with 13 minutes to go, the win is a relief to head coach George Ssemwogerere.
Express climb to eighth with 28 points while Ndejje are still in the red zone on 16 points with nine games to go.
