Arua Hill SC coach Hussein Mbalangu is thrilled with his side’s consistent run of victories, and says that it is testament of the spirit within the squad.
Mbalangu saw his side pick up their third victory in four games in all competitions as they secured a 3-2 first leg victory over UPDF FC in their Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 first leg encounter.
“l am happy we are keeping our winning touch and scoring many goals,” Mbalangu noted.
“As I told you before, the attitude with me is that if you score three against us, we shall score four. So we scored three and they managed two and for me the main point was the win.”
“We need to continue creating chances utilise then and improve our defending. We made a lot of chances in the game but some players lacked a little bit of confidence,” he added.
Arua Hill found their opener in the 18th minute through Rashid Kawawa before towering centre back Mike Kawooya doubled the lead after heading home Emmanuel Mutebi’s corner kick.
Alex Kitaata’s goal close to the half time break cut into Arua’s lead.
The Army side would later equalise 14 minutes into the second half through Bright Vuni before Alfred Leku ensured his side took the early advantage three minutes later.
