KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi is certainly one of the very few coaches who can’t tolerate indiscipline even if it’s from the team’s most dependable player and even if it’s himself.
Such is the situation midfielders Kezironi Kizito and Simon Sserunkuma find themselves in. The duo earned a two months suspension for failing to report for training without any reason.
“Simon Sserunkuma and Kezironi Kizito are serving a two-month suspension for indiscipline,” a livid Mutebi said before adding.
“You can’t fail to show up for training without any reason and you expect to be here, so since they want to stay home let them make the best of it.”
Kezironi Kizito joined the Kasasiro boys from Indian Premier League side Kerala Blasters at the start of the season but has failed to nail a starting spot in the midfield with Gift Ali and Muzamir Mutyaba running the show.
Simon Sserunkuma has also struggled to earn his spot in KCCA’s first team, since his move to the club in August, with the former Express FC and SC Villa midfielder in and out of the first team due to injuries.
In related news Mike Mutebi also through the gauntlet at renegades Allan Okello and Mustapha Kizza regarding their contract situation, saying the club won’t be held at ransom.
“As long as am KCCA FC manager, no player will hold this club at ransom, we groomed these boys and if they want to leave we shall groom more. We have one more offer to make and if they refuse it, we shall let them go” a vividly angry Mike Mutebi said.
KCCA FC opens their second-round campaign against Mbarara City on Wednesday at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.
