Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya has spoken his mind about compatriot Ibrahim ‘Owen Baba’ Kasule’s move to Turkish second division side Ankara Keciörengücü.
Speaking exclusively to Football256 from his base in Turkey, Miya revealed that Kasule has what it takes to succeed in the Turkish second division, he only needs to have a positive attitude.
“Of course, it’s tough out here, make no mistake about it but he (Owen Baba) has what it takes to succeed,” stated the Caykur Rizespor player.
“If there is anything we need in such situations to grow as Ugandan players, it’s to have a positive mindset.”
“It’s very key because it helps you concentrate a lot but also, I am always available in case he needs any support,” he noted.
Caykur Rizespor is Miya’s second Turkish side to feature for having turned out for Konyaspor for two seasons from 2019 and performing well in his first season where he managed eight goals and three assists.
Kasule joined Ankara Keciörengücü earlier in January from Wakiso Giants and with the club chasing promotion to the Turkish top flight, the diminutive playmaker will be expected to help the team’s cause.
