Uganda Cranes star Farouk Miya has indicated his intent to start a new footballing chapter after his spell with Ukrainian side PKF Lviv unprecedentedly ended.

The 24-year-old signed with the Eastern Europe outfit earlier in 2022 on a short-term basis, but, Ukraine was invaded by Russia leading to the halting of football and other sports activities.

The Ukrainian Premier League was thereby indefinitely suspended in the process, leaving the 2017 AFCON qualification hero club less.

“I am preparing myself well for the summer transfer window,” the Uganda Cranes forward was quoted by Daily Monitor.

“And, I will be waiting for my management team to get the best team in summer,” an optimistic Miya added.

His move to Lviv had followed over a year without a club after the expiry of his contract with the Turkish side, Konyaspor.

After the war broke out in Ukraine, Miya returned home and has since been training with boyhood club, Vipers SC.

He has been part of the recent Uganda Cranes’ regional tours but also featured in the tour to Asia in Uzbekistan over a month back.
