Tout Puissance Mazembe’s president Moïse Katumbi Chapwe is on the brink of becoming one of the shareholders at Belgian top-flight Championship side Anderlecht.
The 55-year-old Congolese businessman is reportedly in advanced negotiations to purchase a part of the portfolio of the famous Belgian club.
Katumbi is one of the biggest football entrepreneurs in Africa and has previously done players transfer transactions with officials of Anderlecht.
Katumbi is considering the option though he or officials of Anderlecht have not communicated on the issue.
Belgian outlet RTBF is reporting that fans of the Jupiler Pro side are excited about the news holding in mind the financial muscles of Katumbi.
The one-time Mayor of the oil-rich Katanga Region has very strong ties with Belgium. Katumbi and Anderlecht have not made any comment on the shares purchase reports.
