It’s no secret that Vipers SC patron Lawrence Mulindwa is an admirer of foreign coaches atleast ever since Cranes goalkeepers’ coach Fred Kajoba left his head coach role at the club.
At the time, Kajoba chose Cranes over Vipers and also didn’t officially hand over which irked Mulindwa that he has since employed foreign managers, with Bianchi Beto the latest, succeeding Roberto Oliviera.
And, Mulindwa explained why as he unveiled the new head coach on Tuesday afternoon.
“Our local coaches are definitely good, very good at that and I have no, problem with them,” Mulindwa told journalists on Tuesday in Kitende.
“However, it’s always good to explore other options especially foreign ones. Because, you learn alot from them,” he stressed before adding.
“I don’t only make decisions for Vipers but also as a former president of FUFA. You want our players to learn from the best so that it’s not new to them on the national team,” he concluded.
Newly appointed coach Bianchi Beto will be tasked to guide the Venoms from the group stages of the CAF champions league. Vipers SC sit third on the log on 27 points after 14 games played.
