Muluuli leads three-man shortlist for February’s Player of the Month

Police FC striker Brian Mayanja Muluuli leads the race for the February Pilsner Player of the Month in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Express FC forward George Ssenkaaba and Vipers SC attacking midfielder Paul Mucureezi are the other two players shortlisted.

Muluuli has been a huge addition to the Cops following his January transfer from Kitara FC.

He has scored five goals already for his new club all coming in the month of February which have propelled him to the top of the scorer’s chart on eight goals.

Ssenkaaba is inarguably the most inform player for the Red Eagles at the moment much as he is recently nursing his Achilles tendon which will rule him out of action for the next six weeks.

The former Kitara player has so far managed six league goals, five in the month of February.

Mucureezi has been in vibrant form at Vipers scoring four in the previous month and managing seven in total this season.

In the coach of the month category, Vipers head coach Fred Kajoba and Express’ Wasswa Bbosa have been nominated.

The two have been instrumental for their teams during the month of February, Kajoba led Vipers to five wins and two draws while Bbosa guided Express to four wins and two draws from the six games played in February.

KCCA FC’ Brian Aheebwa and UPDF FC head coach Kefa Kisala are the previous winners for January.
