KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi is obsessed about qualifying for the group stages of the 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederation Cup group stages, that obsession is 180 minutes away from becoming a reality once more.

That mania is trickling into his players as well ahead of their trip to Congo Brazzaville on Friday morning for the first leg playoff, skipper Timothy Awany spoke to www.football-256.com insisting there was nothing on his mind apart form a getting the job done.

“Our target in Congo is to get the result that will enable us finish the job on a high once we get back home because we are determined and hungry to keep playing at that level,” Awany said.

“I believe they (Otoho) are a big team but every time we play a big team we learn something. Like it has been the case in the champions league, we have learnt a lot and we are not going to be pushovers against them we are going to compete.”

Mutebi wants to make continental football a habit for his lads, with As Otoho in his way, the two time league winner will turn to his young squad and see if the job can be done.

“Our target is certainly group stages, and this is the match that is going to take us there,” Mutebi said.

“The players know it and the mindset has to be the same across if we are to achieve it and try to take it notch higher.”

“We don’t know much about them but we have done our research and we should be able to do the job,” he added.
