StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC might still be boasting of a 100 percent record at the start of the 2019/2020 season but it has not been easy.
The 13-time champions have struggled to win the two games against Wakiso Giants and Busoga United with an identical 1-0 scoreline.
Their manager Mike Mutebi believes that’s how the season is going to be and they will need to toughen up.
“We are winning, today we suffered for the result, there is nothing that is going to be simple this season,” Mutebi said after the game.

“You could see the character of these kids, they fought for the result because Busoga United pressed us especially in the second half,”
Not a completely new side but with defenders John Revita, Musa Ramathan and Samuel Kato they have three new faces in a backline that switched from three to four this season.
Revita just one season in top-flight football, plays alongside Kato and Musa are new at this stage but they seem unfazed.
“The other side of the team is showing character and today you saw that they suffered for the result, we may not have performed very well but we got the result we wanted.”

“The most important thing is to learn to use the ball, we must emphasize that and the decision making in the final third but those are things we must improve going forward,” Mutebi added.
With Erisa Ssekisambu, Simon Sserunkuma the other new signing joining Revita, and the former expected to fill the void left by striker Patrick, Mutebi has the daunting task to teach the breed the club’s philosophy.
