KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi has never been shy about speaking his mind.
In most of the media interviews Mutebi has given, he has stressed the importance of players adjusting to different systems and positions.
Following KCCA FC’s comfortable 3-0 win over Mtibwa Sugar in the first leg of the 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederations Cup first round tie, Mutebi didn’t mince his words.
In the post match interview, Mutebi echoed about the performance of some players fielded out of their usual positions like midfeilder Gift Ali who played as a wingback.
“To be a good player you have to be able to switch in positions,” Mutebi told journalists.
“Allan Okello does that so well, we are getting there slowly, it comes from training and proper education,” he added.
The gaffer who led KCCA FC to their first appearance in the CAF champions league group stages last year highlighted that they could have scored at least seven goals if it wasn’t for Mtibwa Sugar packing the bus the entire game.
“We were not thorough in front of goal for most of the time and we could have scored 7 goals if it wasn’t for Mtibwa being too defensive” a jovial Mutebi stated
KCCA FC are hoping to play the CAF Confederations Cup group stages for a second if they complete the job in Dar-Es-Saalam, on 22nd December.
