KCCA FC misery is far from coming to an end, from being knocked out of two competitions in 48 hours to now having their head coach Mike Mutebi in more hot soup with the FUFA Match Integrity Committee.

Mutebi together with his URA counterpart Sam Ssimbwa have been banned for four matches of any official FUFA competition and together with Bright Stars’ Fred Kajoba fined UGX2M each for what the committee called bringing the game into disrepute.

Ssimbwa’s crime is uttering tribal related statements after his team drew 1-1 with Kirinya Jinja SS in the StarTimes Uganda Premier tie played at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.

“The referees were very biased, you also saw it but because you are Basoga and this is your team but you know the truth, if it’s you who were cheated you would be like me, this was day robbery,” Ssimbwa told journalists in a post-match press conference.

Mutebi has in past said that league titles in the last 20 seasons or so have been fixed, claiming that teams like KCCA FC, URA, Vipers, Police and SC Villa have always had budgets to facilitate match fixing.

Fred Kajoba and his technical bench entered the field of play in the 76th minute after a penalty was awarded to Tooro United FC on January 10th in Buhinga. The match stopped for 2 minutes because of the incident.

Mutebi is set to miss the games against Mbarara City (away), Onduparaka (home), Bright Stars (away) and Police (away) in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league.

On the other hand, Ssimbwa won’t be on the bench when his side hosts Vipers SC this Friday at Namboole, SC Villa (home), Ndejje (away) and Maroons (home).
