Bright Stars striker Nelson Senkatuka has spoken fondly of his Soltilo Bright Stars’ head coach Asaph Mwebaze, noting that the latter’s coaching tactics complement every player at the club.
Mwebaze joined Bright Stars at the start of the season and had a slow start, failing to win any of his opening seven games following five consecutive draws and two straight losses, but has won all his previous four games.
“I think his tactics are different from the ones the team had last season and I think they complement the style most of the players at the club can play,” Senkatuka told www.football256.com.
“From the physical point of view, many of the players are not so big but they are comfortable with the ball and it is helping us a lot.”
“I know we did not start well but I think he was still trying to find his best team and the right cohesion because most of the players were new and it took us like five games to gel in together.”
“Once we understood the way the coach wanted us to play we started winning games and credit goes to him and the players as well,” he added.
From the relegation zone, the Stars are now positioned eighth on the 15-team Uganda Premier League log with 17 points after 11 games.
Their next game is at home against Wakiso Giants FC at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Tuesday and they will be hoping to make it five wins in five games.
Senkatuka will also be hoping to add to his six goals where he is the joint UPL leading goal scorer with Vipers’ Yunus Sentamu, Modern Gaddafi’s Alex Kitata, and Maroons’ Fred Amaku.
