Express FC CEO Isaac Mwesigwa can now confidently address club fans following the progress he has registered since coming into office.
The soft-spoken administrator who many regard as a high calibre football enthusiast has over seen the arrival of four new players plus a strength and conditioning coach, a feat he terms work in progress insisting the good times are returning to the Red Eagles.
“The fans from the feedback on the social media platforms are really enjoying the ride and we are not done yet.”
“Our fans should be patient as we’re rebuilding skilfully with a purpose of reviving the glorious days at Wankulukuku and with their support, the good times will be revived,” Mwesigwa told the club’s website.
Creative midfielder Abel Eturude was the latest to join the Red Eagles on a two-year deal taking the number to four with two goalkeepers in Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim along with central defender Richard Bbosa already at the club.
Helen Buteme’s appointment as the strength and conditioning coach also can’t go unmentioned. Wasswa Bossa’s task will be to lead Express FC to a seventh league title which the side last won in 2012.
The Uganda Premier League is scheduled to begin on October 17, 2020 pending approval from the Ministry of health and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for sports activities to restart.
